System Requirements:

PC and Windows

In order to run Macrium Reflect, you must have a system that has the following minimum system requirements:

At least 512MB RAM (1GB min recommended)
Windows XP Service Pack 3 or Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 or later
A keyboard and mouse

To use the rescue media, you will need either a CD/DVD writing drive or a USB drive.

Supported File Systems

Imaging clusters in use and changed clusters (intelligent copy) is supported by FAT16, FAT32, NTFS, exFAT, ReFS (on server editions), and Ext 2,3,4 file systems. All other file systems and unformatted partitions will be imaged on a sector by sector basis, i.e, every sector in the partition will be copied.

Incremental and Differential images have no file system dependencies. You can even create Incremental and Differential images of unformatted partitions.

Rapid Delta Restore (RDR) and Rapid Delta Clone (RDC) are supported by NTFS file systems only. All other file systems will cause a Full restore or clone.

Many of our business customers' feedback indicated a preference for the certainty provided by an annual plan. The annual plan offers assurance that you always have access to the latest version with innovations such as improvements we’ve made in compression speeds and algorithms. It also ensures you have access to critical updates and are protected against new threats and risks. Lastly, our annual plan ensures you always have access to technical support.

However, we also recognize that many OEM customers and customers with critical infrastructure need stable versions with minimal feature updates. So, we will continue offering perpetual licenses with built-in support and maintenance and have LTSC editions available. These will only be available by contacting one of our sales experts or your trusted reseller for more information.

By default, Annual Plan subscriptions auto-renew. However your payment and terms are managed independently by our payment subscription provider Cleverbridge, you can update your auto renewal preference at any time via a link included in your purchase email or through your Macrium Account using the same email address.

We believe it is critically important that you can still access your backups even after your subscription may expire. Therefore, Reflect will automatically fall back to restore-only mode, meaning you can still access your data for as long as you need.

Standalone licenses are sold as an annual plan and each license is valid for 1 PC.

Licenses can be easily moved to a replacement PC and Macrium Reflect includes 'ReDeploy' functionality to transfer an image of your Windows Operating system to dissimilar hardware.

Reflect X is our flagship backup and recovery solution for standalone machines on an individual basis. It is ideal for businesses that have a small number of systems to backup or have systems that need to be partially or fully air-gapped (we now even offer offline activation of our software).

SiteBackup provides a much more scalable and centrally managed solution for businesses, built using the same expertise and technology that powers Reflect X. SiteBackup reduces your total cost of ownership by allowing you to install, manage and monitor backup agents remotely and at scale, with additional functionality for available reporting.

For businesses, Reflect X can be purchased for either Workstation or Server installation, based on their intended use, with subscriptions available for each. Subscriptions can be purchased individually (via our website) or for Enterprise purchases (via our Sales/Reseller teams). Pricing and product availability subject to change without notice.
Typically the licensing is per installtion, either PC or Server, regardless of numbers of CPU's or cores.
The PC editions will not install if they detect a server OS
The Technicians Licenses are annual subscriptions and are per technician
The Home Edition does not have an annual maintenance renewal option. A new license must be purchased each year.
The VM bundles will only install into virtual machines
New licenses (and upgrades) for business buyers include Standard Maintenance and Technical Support for the first year. This includes free upgrades to new versions in the contract period
Support Essentials is for home users and excludes free upgrades to next version
